BACKGROUND

I’m currently the Senior Brand Designer at the State Employees’ Credit Union in Raleigh, North Carolina, where I’m designing across all platforms—digital, print, social, and for the wide range of signage and posters in our branches. I’m also working with SECU leadership to enhance the credit union’s visual identity and build a compelling and cohesive set of brand guidelines. It’s a role that draws on my experience across design, strategy, and team collaboration.

Before joining SECU in 2024, I spent seven years working independently as an art director, designer, and creative lead. After relocating from New York to Delaware in 2017, I partnered with a diverse range of clients including Bank of America, Capital One, AbbVie, KitchenAid, George Washington University, and the City of New York. My freelance work spanned multichannel campaigns, brand development, packaging, web, email, social, and more. Some highlights: designing a citywide affordable housing awareness campaign for the Mayor’s Office of the City of New York, developing brand guidelines for KitchenAid Digital and Ellamera, and creating a co-branded multichannel campaign for Capital One and Spotify. I also worked at Deloitte in the role of Associate Creative Director in Philadelphia before relocating to Raleigh from Delaware in 2023.

Earlier in my career, I held in-house leadership roles at both American Express and Morgan Stanley. At Amex, I served as Design Director within the Global Advertising and Brand Management Group, where I led a team of creatives, built out brand guidelines, streamlined email marketing operations, and partnered with external agencies to maintain a consistent brand voice. At Morgan Stanley, I focused on both digital and print communications while mentoring junior team members and helping to uphold the brand’s evolving visual identity. These roles gave me a solid foundation in managing creative teams, aligning design with business goals, and working effectively within large organizations.

My design career started in New York City after graduating from Bowling Green State University. I spent the early years working as a designer and Art Director at agencies including Y&R and DraftWorldwide, and in publishing at Macmillan and St. Martin’s Press—roles that sharpened my skills in storytelling, branding, and integrated campaigns. Over the years, whether working in-house, at agencies, or independently, I’ve always brought a hands-on, collaborative approach to my work. I believe that good design is about more than just how something looks—it’s about how it works, what it communicates, and the impact it has on people.
