BACKGROUND

I’m currently the Senior Brand Designer at the State Employees’ Credit Union in Raleigh, North Carolina, where I design across all platforms—digital, print, social media, and a wide range of branch signage and ATM and digital displays. I also collaborate with SECU leadership to refine and evolve the visual identity and brand guidelines.

Before joining SECU in 2024, I spent seven years working independently as an art director, designer, and creative lead. After relocating from New York to Delaware in 2017, I built a diverse freelance practice, partnering with clients including Bank of America, Capital One, AbbVie, KitchenAid, George Washington University, and the City of New York. My work spanned multichannel campaigns, brand development, packaging, websites, email marketing, social media, and more. Highlights include designing a citywide affordable housing awareness campaign for the Mayor’s Office of the City of New York, developing brand guidelines for KitchenAid Digital and Ellamera, and creating a co-branded campaign for Capital One and Spotify that ran across digital, print, and direct channels. During this time, I also held an in-house contract role as Associate Creative Director at Deloitte, working with their Green Dot Agency in Philadelphia before relocating to Raleigh in 2023.

Earlier in my career, I held senior in-house roles at both American Express and Morgan Stanley. At American Express, I served as Design Director within the Global Advertising and Brand Management Group, where I led a team of creatives, oversaw major cross-channel campaigns, and produced and maintained comprehensive brand guidelines. I also developed new processes that improved the delivery and performance of Amex’s marketing and servicing emails. At Morgan Stanley, I worked as a Senior Art Director, supporting both print and digital initiatives while mentoring junior team members and ensuring alignment with evolving brand standards. These roles deepened my understanding of how to lead creative teams, scale brand systems, and deliver design solutions that align with business objectives.

My design career began in New York City after earning a BFA in Graphic Design from Bowling Green State University. I got my start at agencies like Y&R, C&W Creative, and DraftWorldwide, and later worked in publishing at Macmillan and St. Martin’s Press—roles that sharpened my skills in storytelling, branding, and integrated campaign development. Throughout my career, whether in-house, agency, or freelance, I’ve brought a hands-on, strategic approach to creative leadership. I believe great design goes beyond aesthetics—it’s about clarity, intention, and connection. It should help organizations tell their story, communicate their values, and drive meaningful impact.
